Another new coffee shop to try on my morning walk. This place is cute and a cozy but man was it difficult to find. I literally walked right past it not once but twice!! Once I found it, I successfully ordered my usual ice mocha. I didn't realize how many options they had until I saw the menu. I'll definitely be back to try something new and go outside my comfort zone. Their pastries are from Bella Bru and I was so tempted to order the cinnamon roll but I was good this time around, lol.

(3.5, but rounded up) I decided to try out this place because the menu items seemed interesting. Walked in and this place seemed nice and cozy. There was a display case with a treats and a wide range menu of drinks. I decided to try out the seasonal drinks with my friend. I got the sweet potato pie latte and she got the pistachio white mocha. The wait for the drinks was not too long and our server was very nice. After taking my first sip of my drink, it was quite sweet and lacked coffee flavor. Usually, I'm not a snob with my coffee. I enjoy my drinks on the sweeter side, but but I wish the coffee was stronger. The pistachio white mocha was also very sweet, it might've been sweeter than my drink. I was really hoping for the spot to be a hit, but it wasn't my favorite. Because of the lack of coffee flavor, it brought down the rating. Especially since this place is in downtown where there are a lot of great coffee shops.

Roots Coffee Shop in Sacramento is a delightful establishment conveniently located near the Golden 1 Center. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal place to relax or catch up with friends. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and attentive, and the touch of greenery throughout the store adds to its charm. It's a great place to unwind, whether you're working on your laptop or simply enjoying a quiet moment. While I didn't have the opportunity to try the food, I look forward to sampling it on my next visit. I had a white chocolate mocha, which was satisfactory, and I plan to explore other flavors in the future.

I tried the Pumpkin Pie Cold Brew, and it didn't disappoint! The flavor was perfectly balanced--just the right amount of sweetness and spice without overpowering the cold brew. It was just the boost of energy I needed! There was an event going on nearby, so the place was pretty busy, but luckily, the wait wasn't too long. The staff were nice and quick, which was a bonus given the crowd. We also grabbed a s'mores cookie and had it warmed up--it was sooo good! The gooey marshmallow and melted chocolate were the perfect treat. Plus, this coffee shop is in DOCO, making it a great place to stop and chill while exploring the area. We'll definitely be back again soon for more coffee and sweets! Overall I would give 4.5

The Honey Cream Latte is to die for. I only came here once for a baseball game and I got coffee here. The parking was in the garage so you need to walk. Unless I missed the parking somewhere else closer. The water is so food too. Give that a try if they still have it for free.

I came in for a very quick coffee run and got the honey latte. It was pretty solid! Very milky for those who like a milky latte. If you're an actual coffee lover who drinks coffee for coffee not sure if this would be a good choice. Staff were really nice and the inside looked really cozy with lots of seats

This is such a cute little cafe with great coffee right in downtown Sacramento! If you're staying in one of the many nearby hotels or shopping at DOCO, definitely make this a stop! Each morning before work while in the city for a week, I would stop here for breakfast and a coffee. They had some delicious looking seasonal specials and some great teas and coffees, though I stuck with an oat milk iced latte. I really liked their oat milk and thought the latte was great. I also ordered a parmesan bagel with cream cheese, which was warm and always soft and fresh. The store is really cute too, with plants and a few tables and a couch. There is a small patio with a few seats as well, so this is a great spot if you're looking for a spot to get coffee with a friend or work for a little bit. The baristas were friendly and always helpful! The pastry options always looked good if you were looking for a snack. Even when busy, the food and coffees came out quickly.

This nice hidden away spot in DOCO was a pleasant surprise. We walked in and was greeted with a smile. We ordered drinks and food took a seat to enjoy the earthy decor of the cafe. Our espresso drinks were perfect and very aesthetic! The Nutella croissant was also delicious!

Stumbled upon this cute spot while waiting for a doctor's appointment (across the street at Kaiser). Great corner location, big sunny windows, lots of seating options. Enjoyed a London Fog and waffle- yum! Perfect spot for visiting travelers too- Roots is steps from Kimpton/DOCO.

Took a walk to this location while in the doco area and it's such a bummer that it's in such a weird spot. If you walk down DOCO and turn right once you past the area to your left you can find this location close to the freeway. We ordered two specialty coffees that are available while supplies last at their location : Vietnamese iced coffee and the pistachio matcha. My friend absolutely loved her matcha and it was so beautiful too. I liked my Vietnamese coffee and it was strong like most Vietnamese iced coffees should be! I would def come back If I'm in the area.
